Warner Music Group Finds that Music Isn’t Money

Warner Music Group says in a press release that it has seen a huge decline in revenue in the first quarter. Major record labels claim that they are the victims of internet pirating, but the weak economy and the lack of desire for physical media in the new digital media age also seem to be contributing. If the record industry is to survive, it needs to discover a new marketing strategy to not only cope with the presence of the internet and the recession but to also thrive on it.
